An unpaid carer is anyone who provides care and support for another person. There are over 32,000 people locally in similar situations. Whatever your circumstances, we hope you find this website useful.

ARE YOU AN UNPAID CARER?
An unpaid carer provides care and support for a parent, relative, a child or a friend who has a disability, an age related problem, mental or physical illness or alcohol or drug problems.
WHO DO YOU CARE FOR?
Does the person you care for and support have a disability?
- An illness or health condition.
- A mental health problem.
- Age related difficulties.
- An alcohol or drug problem.
WE CAN HELP
For some people, becoming an unpaid carer may be a gradual process, for others it may happen overnight. Whatever the circumstances, it is important that unpaid carers are recognised and supported.
