Parent Carer Strategic Liaison Worker
£15,714 per annum (£25,841 full-time equivalent)
22.5 hours per week
Carers Together Foundation is an organisation dedicated to improving Carers’ quality of life. We listen to Carers, give them a voice, provide information, practical and emotional support and promote Carers’ rights across the South Tees area.
We are seeking a Strategic Liaison Worker to provide information, advice and guidance to parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
The postholder will liaise with statutory and voluntary sector organisations to build positive relationships between parent carers and service providers, promote social inclusion and the involvement of parent carers in local service development.
To succeed in this role, applicants must have previous experience of providing information, advice and guidance, an understanding of the issues affecting Parent Carers and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues and other professionals.
This role is based between our offices in Middlesbrough and Redcar and the postholder will also be required to travel to, and work within, other community settings.
